This has been a fun skirt to make. The Calrose skirt went through several rounds of testing. In pretesting we fixed the waistbands and side seams and made it tighter, wink wink. In testing we got to really have fun and add all the ruffles. I didn’t think this pattern would see the light of day, but I am so proud of my testers constantly asking me for updates on it. So here is the Calrose skirt pattern! Your wait is over!
The Calrose skirt is the answer to “I want something knit without zippers”. A lot of ladies are intimidated by zippers, knit fabric and buttons. So this eases you into knits. I can’t take away your fears of zippers or buttons yet, so I excluded them from this pattern. 🙂
It’s a cute pencil skirt that can be dressed up with a thick knit for the winter and office. And if you’re feeling particularly flirty you can make it with the ruffles for a date night or out on the town. It’s a super soft and comfy skirt. The only limit is your imagination. Try it in ombre, or mix it up with stripes or dots. Add less ruffles, add more ruffles…it’s really up to you!
I seriously can’t believe how many patterns I’ve released since May. It’s like a dream come true. So for today only, as a thank you to all Golden Rippy and Pattern Revolution fans I’m releasing the pattern for only $3 in my shop and on Craftsy, instead of it’s normal $12 price tag. ONE DAY ONLY 😉 And if you win the raffle below but already bought the skirt, I’ll let you pick another pattern of your choice instead. See, no worries. 🙂
